The average time for a security officer to pat-down a passenger is two minutes whereas scanner takes only 25 sec and there is no need for passengers to remove jackets and belts.
Regarding the privacy and health grounds, managing director of Manchester Airport has confirmed to ensure the highest level of privacy and technology is totally safe after studied by expert.
The airport will now have body scanners in all security areas by the end of October.
