Air traffic control course at the University of Gloucestershire

University of Gloucestershire has started air traffic course and aviation management.  Some Spanish students have also landed to UK to join this course.  Astac Ltd who is based at Gloucestershire airport and is known as world’s leading trainers of air traffic controllers who train more than 30 countries have join hands to run this course successfully.

The students who have completed the first two weeks of their training at the university studying modules were transfer to Astac’s international training centre at Shoreham Airport near Brighton to study depth courses in air traffic control, including working on Astac’s simulators.  Then student will move to the University Park Campus in Cheltenham for next 2 yrs to complete additional management modules which help students to learn leading roles in air traffic control, not only within their own countries, but to control or regulate around the world.

Student will be undergoing through course till 2011 and will begin working as controllers by the end of 2011. Looking forward to see Gloucestershire role in traffic control.
